Haven't picked up my camera in a while...

Can tell the days aren't as nice anymore and its dark almost by the time we get home from work, definetly is dark when daddy gets home. Its been busy, very busy, but great! I received this Quote Of The Day this week and had to share...

Quote of the day... "Take control of your destiny. Believe in yourself. Ignore those who try to discourage you. Avoid negative sources, people, places, things and habits. Don't give up and don't give in."

It couldn't honestly be more true. Ive been burned in the past, it hurts, however I have grown from it and I truly believe in Karma - what goes around comes around. This quote is fabulous - I couldn't have said it any better! I am so proud of myself, my family and all that we have accomplished! I deserve to be proud :)

I'll be taking some photos this weekend since its HALLOWEEN!
We're hoping for nice weather to take the little ones out to see our family. Fun times :)

My 3 loves...

Reading a book!
Its too precious. I love how they love their daddy. I love how much he loves them. Even though they spend much of their at home time with mommy, daddy always melts their heart.
Reminds me of growing up with a very hard working daddy in the same industry!

Kiddos are so happy to have daddy read them a book!

Daddy has been working a lot, today he worked all day and got home with enough time for a play and then to read them a book (so mommy had some ME time lol). I had to capture this! They love their daddy so much it makes me melt!

Its not child labour if they ask to do it...

I told them I was going to put the dishes away, well Carson wanted to wash the dishes that were waiting to go into the dishwasher, so ... I let him wash their dishes and her put them in the sink to dry. It was too funny and waaaay cute!

He is FINALLY feeling more like himself! Dr's really need to realize that mom does know best! I knew what was wrong with him on Tuesday but had to wait til Thursday... yes I am bitter about that he could have been much better now had they let me bring him in on Tuesday. Anyway... Good news is he IS getting better! His energy goes in spurts, but hey at least he has energy today :). He asked to go to school today as well as the park (3 times I think), so by Monday he will be so happy to get back and see his little friends!

My baby blue eye's helping wash dishes!

Epicure Smoked Paprika Chicken

I came up with this tonight... I looked through the Healthy You cookbook and found some recipes that I really liked, however I think its the fact that I hate to follow an exact recipe, I like to do what I feel creative doing!

So this is what I came up with.

YUM!

We had it over whole grain rice and steamed peas.

SO GOOD!

Sick babies...

Yes my babies aren't themselves :(

Mady's is mostly teething, these darn bottom eye teeth have yet to come through.

Cars he had a low grade fever all weekend, nothing high at all just a little warm, well last night at bedtime it spiked and he was HOT, middle of the night same thing, HOT, this morning not hot yet but warmer than warm on his way to HOT. So here I am home with the wee ones and staying on a regular schedule of tylenol and will be starting advil this aft.

Spoke with the clinic and they wont see him until hes had a fever for at least 2-3 days... seriously!? Last time this happened, he only got worse and took him in on the Monday, did a swab because his throat was red, by mid-week he was so much worse, took him to another Dr and finally got a prescrip and he was SO much better by the next morning having the meds into him. I wont be a happy camper if we go through the same ordeal again...

Well while they are napping I MUST get laundry folded and some work done!

Mady resting on the couch

Teething and gloomy cold weather don't mix for a toddler, poor thing!

Such a moving video, perfect for a day we give thanks.

I would die for that

Click the above link to watch Kellie Coffey song about wanting to have a child. Emotional. Powerful. http://www.kelliecoffey.com/

A friend on facebook posted this link, its amazing that even though we were finally blessed with our Son after 16mths trying, its still something that was such a big part of our lives that I cannot help but cry for the hurt and pain we felt, but I thank god everyday for the two babies we were blessed with, those 16mths changed our life and there is nothing in the world that means more to me than my two babies and husband. Especially today, if all I had were my family and job, I am a very wealthy woman! My dreams have completely come true :) for this is what truly matters in my world.

As a young girl and teenager, I never had a lot of friends, I had a deep love for art and knew what I always wanted out of life. Was never the life of the party, tended to put myself out and ended up hurt, however I always knew what I was dreaming of. As a young woman dealing with managable health issues, I always felt like I was being punished for something. Our entire relationship has been a strengthening test in some way or another, I am so thankful I finally came to realize that dreams can come true if you want them to. Its ok to want what makes me happy, its ok to only have a few close friends, most of all its ok to be who I want to be. For that... my dreams have come true. The simple, true love, honest, positive and happy life that Ive always looked for and what makes me the person I am today.

From our Family to yours ~ Happy Thanksgiving!

"I am happy, I am happy"

This is the new song our wee miss started singing this week. Carsons finishes it for her "...for my food!" . Cars tells us that they sing this before the eat each day at school, warms my heart. How happy it makes me hearing our children singing about being happy :)

There is so much I am thankful for. I just couldn't begin to list everything. The most important of course my husband, who without him I probably wouldn't be where I am today with our amazing marriage, beautiful children, our close, loving family, jobs we enjoy and love and our close friends.

So I am off to enjoy the day with my babies and hubby.

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!

Watching the Canada Geese

After the kids had their nap today we jumped in the car and headed down to my next favourite spot in town! Also a beautiful location on the river, however this park has play equipment for the kids. They had a blast! I was out of my funk and we just had an awesome time. It helped getting out with the kids and doing something I love - photography. I love documenting all of these moments for our children and us.

Enjoy... I sure did!

...because tomorrow I am not leaving the house until I get my list done and the house organized... Oh my!

Cannot wait to see the hubsters late tomorrow night - yeah!

I love that I am continuing our yearly fall thanksgiving weekend photos. Its so amazing to look up at their fall shots last year and see how they have changed and grown, they aren't babies anymore, they are little people!

As you'll read below... Im a newly converted jpg to RAW girl! Im loving it :)
I never thought I would convert, however as I said below, I took the plunge last night. These photos from this afternoon are evidence of my love for my children, camera and now RAW lol. The ones with the deep blue sky... those are basically SOOC! Loooooove it!

Quick and Yummy Chicken Parmesan

Hubby worked late again last night, so by the time he got home it was bath time for the kids and time for books then bed. We wanted something quick and I had taken chicken out of the freezer after work (thawed in a bowl in the sink of cold water). I put some EVOO in the frying pan, let that warm just a bit then put both breasts in the pan, sprinkled with Epicure Fine Herbs as well as the Pasta Italien Spice, put a lid over top and let cook for 5-7 min on med, I flipped and let cook for another 5 min, then shredded some fresh parmesan cheese over top of them, put 1/2 cup (approx) of spaghetti sauce and 1/4 cup of wine (put the wine right in the sauce jar to get every last bit out of it), then finely shredded some cheddar cheese and more parmesan over the top, put it on low and put the lid on.

This was the finished product! YUMMMY!

I also made whole wheat rotini noodles and we had cole slaw salad on the side. SOOOO good ;) and soooo quick!

I also needed a bit of a snack later... so I had a little bowl of chips (handful basically) with a dip of 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1 tbsp of cream cheese with the Epicure Herb and Garlic Spice... yummy!

Im enjoying this eating healthy thing lol... I think tonight for a snack (after the kids and I have our home made pizza's on pita's) I will toast up a pita with some garlic butter on it (becel and fresh garlic) and then make up another little dip of the cottage cheese, cream cheese and this time add a bit of plain yogurt - YUM!
