Im a very proud mama for my little boy!

Tonight after work/school was little boys first night of skating. It was pretty iffy at first, he was very nervous and didn't like that mommy wasn't out with him, he cried, ok screamed for the first half of the class (1/2 hr class that is ... lol). Then they let him be for a while, he calmed down and watched the other kids. I have to say Nicole was awesome with him, I was up on the walking track and she asked me if I wanted to come talk to him or for them to keep going, I told her Im ok with you to keep going if you are, so they did, he had some more time alone and then she came back to him and showed him how he could get himself up, by putting one leg up and then using that knee to get himself up... well he's stubborn and persistent like his mother cause he DID IT!!! I was SOOOO proud I was tearing up.

Its a new phase in this whole motherhood journey and I LOVE IT! I remember when my parents used to take us to skating lessons (well mom did lol) and hockey for the boys... a very fond memory and I love that we are passing this on to our children! No... I did not get photos... I know, I didn't take the camera... what gives haha. Well knowing that it was his first night I wasn't sure how it would go so thought I should wait til at least the 2nd night. Im SO excited to get shots of him out on the ice with the other kids... hes growing up so fast!

Today was also a great day for me. I did a lot more research this weekend on my health issues Ive got going on, although they aren't life threatening they certainly are a pain... literally and everyday life. Anyway I found some great information of what vitamins someone like me should be taking and so today at lunch I went and got them, I started my new regime at lunch and am already feeling better! I was in a funk all weekend, bummer, but it does happen quite a bit, such is life and I just need to find these ways to deal with it, especially since that our family is complete and my body is trying to find its 'normal'. This is a great step!

First time skating... he wasn't too sure, even with Daddy!

He was SO excited to go skating, told mommy he 'didnt need snowpants, lets go' haha, we got to the arena and he wasn't sure, so daddy put his skates on and took him out, it didn't go well. Thankfully as you'll see by the end he loved it! Yea :)

The miss is already interested in getting on the ice, once she figured out what was going on and saw mommy, daddy and granpa with Cars on the ice she had to try. Precious ;)

I think this photo above is my fav from the night, even if he is crying... this one and the one with him looking down and grinning. Awww little man!

Wants to be like the big boys skating but nervous

He was SO excited to go skating tonight with Granpa. He tried his skates on yesterday and wanted to hit the ice right then. We took them to the Minor Hockey Stake-A-Thon, it started off pretty rough for the little man, however towards the end (and watching Granpa skate on by) he was finally starting to smile and laugh!

Good thing too... ;)

Hubby and I had a 'normal' day, even though it is our 5th Wedding Anniversary!
We actually took our son skating for the first time! It may be our anniversary today, but we show each other we love each other everyday! So we had a quick supper and headed to the arena.
Next weekend we have some time to ourselves so we'll get to have a romantic weekend and relax!
Here is Carson's journey the 1st time on the ice ;)

Granpa 'come on cars', Carson 'I dont like it!!!' lol

...we became husband and wife.
The happiest day of my life as it was the beginning of our new life together and our dreams to what we have now and will have in the future. I love every moment of our lives together, our beautiful children and our amazing love and friendship we have as a couple.

Virgo & Cancer

This couple glows with a tranquil aura of harmony. Virgoan organizational skills reassure the anxious Crab, whereas the latter brings Virgo love and imagination. The devoted and dutiful Earth sign will never be wicked enough to push Cancer's buttons. The moonchild's moods are tolerated and coaxed back to less slippery terrain with patience and rationality, in the affectionate surroundings the Cancerian craves. Their life is orderly and calm, but never dull. They love each other simply, tenderly, and gracefully.

3 more days...

... Until our 5 Year Wedding Anniversary!

Yes I am excited.

They say... yes "they" say, that the first 5 years are the hardest.
We certainly have had our share of ups and downs for a newly married couple. The first two years of our marriage was probably our hardest, however we grew so much, we became so close, even more in love and our dreams together came true.

I definetly see how I am just like my mom, I did marry someone just like my father, I am that old fashion with a twist of modern mommy that I have always wanted to be ~ I love it all!

These rings mean the world to me. Even though they are only a symbol of our engagement, our marriage and our first 5 years together, they warm my heart. All I have to do is look at them when we are apart and the memories are amazing. I feel so blessed and lucky that we have found the love we have in each other.

I love you....

Its a milestone, our 5 year wedding anniversary!
Its everything Ive always dreamed of.
The ups, the downs, the amazing moments as a family.
The amazing love and friendship we share.

In just 4 more days...

4 more days...

...and we celebrate a very happy and blissful day together!

Our 5th Wedding Anniversary...

What an amazing 5 years they have been, perfect - far from it, happy - no happy & sad, emotional, tearful, joyful, redefining, the meaning of, love, true soul mates bound by our amazing love and friendship, my best friend, an amazing father, lover, husband... my one of a kind !

I could not imagine my life any different.

8 1/2 years ago this man completely changed my life!
A chance meeting.
In another state.
Became my one of a kind.
He truly is the one.

Honestly, I became the richest woman in the world the day I married him, it was a fortune to be found, however once discovered is the most comfortable, romantic, feelings of my ever lasting love, my true other half. As I sit here I think of our marriage and all that it has become. I am proud that our love for each other has grown so much through better or worst, sickness and in health.

His support is nothing like no other.
He is happy when I am happy.
Our passions we support together as one.
We are happy enjoying what we love.
I have never felt this much like me!

That is something we show our children, just how happy and in love we are.
I'll love them forever and a day, I owe it all to him!

Some fun family time together.

All Pro Modified #12

During Practice Session

Limited Late Model #12

During Practice
I was standing with the kids and couldn't leave them to get up to the fence to stick the lens through and not get the wires, least they are faint!

Our Garden

I do not have a green thumb at all... everyone knows that lol.
However we lucked out when we bought this place that all the gardens have beatiful (annuals I think they are) flowers which come back every year and are very low maintenance.

Our little man!

Another shot I love... such a little man. With the wrist band on his hat and all. Precious.

Ive started using a new watermark on my photos I post to Flickr, here and facebook. I read the other day that a woman had her sons photo taken from her facebook profile and some creep was using it as his own photo... Because of that and because I still want to share I am now using a new water mark, which is on most of these photos. I know I am not pro and my chance of having any stolen is low, however I have to protect them just the same !

Enjoy :)

Now I need to work on the photos I took of the car's on the track. Unfortunately didn't get any during the races, however I still have at least another weekend to!

My Turn

Her big bro was in the All Pro Modified so she HAD to get in the other car. Grama was trying to get her to smile, apparently the car is a good teething ring for eye teeth lol!

Love...

Another shot I love love love!
If I could I would have all our walls covered in their precious moments lol . This shot is perfect. I just love it!

Not Missing a Minute

He didn't want to miss a minute of Uncle Justin racing ... so much that he was up until midnight til the end of Justin's last race - thats our little racing trooper!

Watching 1st practice

Blankie & Blue Eyes

Beautiful!

T-Shirt says it all!

I found this t-shirt for him last year and had to buy it, its so true, he is such a little granpa's boy its awesome.

Impressed...

I told her to show me how impressed she was at the track lol this is the reaction I got haha.

Before we went I asked her if Grama was home if she wanted to come to the race track or go to Gramas, well she said Grama and then Grama wasn't home lol. She met us later.

In Awe

Uncle Justin was going FAST around the track. She was in awe.

Cheering for Uncle Justin

I told her to cheer really loud (during practice lol) and she did ;)
